The Independence Fund Cosigns Letter to The Washington Post in defense of our Nations' Heroes.

The Washington Post article, "How some veterans exploit $193 billion VA program, due to lax controls," published on October 6, 2025, asserts a deeply harmful stigma upon our nation’s heroes.

In response, The Independence Fund joins 27 other Veterans Service Organizations to call for accountability in the Post's reporting through a public letter to the editor.

The Independence Fund firmly stands alongside these partners to ensure that Veteran voices are heard and represented fairly and truthfully. 

The Veteran community deserves to be represented as it is: a group of heroes that practice integrity and deserve their benefits.
