Restoring Independence Through Mobility

A crucial aspect of The Independence Fund’s mission is restoring the physical independence of catastrophically wounded Veterans. Our Mobility Program is the hallmark program of our organization, providing all-terrain trackchairs for Veterans of all eras who have experienced a loss of mobility due to a service-related injury or illness.

By enhancing injured Veterans’ mobility, they’re able to spend more time outdoors pursuing activities they enjoyed prior to their injuries. To date, our Mobility Program has gifted 2,723 trackchairs to Veterans nationwide.

How Veterans Apply for a Trackchair

Apply for the Mobility Program

Veterans interested in receiving a trackchair apply for the program.
If a Veteran qualifies for the program, they are placed on a waitlist to receive an all-terrain trackchair.
Program applicants are chosen to receive trackchairs based on the order applications were received and consideration of the applicant’s level of need.
