In honor of Caregivers during May, the Month of the Military Caregiver, The Independence Fund proudly hosted the second annual Beyond The Call luncheon – an event dedicated to shining a light on the incredible, often unseen heroes who must never go unnoticed.
Caregivers are the glue that holds their family together. They work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year - often with little or no respite for themselves. There are no vacation days, no overtime, and no bonuses. Their work is driven by unwavering love for their wounded hero and deep devotion to our country.
The Independence Fund is profoundly grateful to everyone who joined today’s event. Thank you also to the Stewart family, the McBride family, Smith and Wesson, Creta Construction, and DoubleCheck, for sponsoring this event and making it possible to include several Caregivers from across the country in the day’s festivities.
Importantly, The Independence Fund is also grateful to the Caregivers who courageously shared their stories of strength, sacrifice, and resilience at this event
Their voices are inspiring, and thanks to the Caregiver program, their service does not go unseen.
Month of the Military Caregiver is the perfect time to make a gift in honor of these incredible people.
Even if you could not attend Beyond The Call, you can still make a difference—every donation helps The Independence Fund continue the mission to stand with the families who stand by our nation’s Veterans.
